Pros:
Oil Companies loss adjusted
Cons:
Anyway its my pocket whether state or centre

The petroleum ministry has increased the cost of petrol products, by Rs. 4 then  instruced the State Govt.  to reduce the sales tas.
The effect of the reduction in sales tax is Rs.0.40, that
is 40 Naya Paisa!

While increasing u increase by 4 rs and then reduce the cost by 40paise what gain is the man getting, anyway by 360 paise means Rs. 4 these days!

The way the minister had said we will wait for the election to complete before going for the raising the sales price of Petrol is a point of serious concern. Whether the increase was inevitable really is now a point of doubt.

The raising of petrol prices is a matter that affects all the finances of people. While LPG and Kerosene were spared, the reason is that, if u increase the rates the people will take more care  and still use oil of same cost, while petrol cannot be done like that.
To reduce the consumption of petrol the govt. should take initiatives to ban all bikes manfacture that give mileage lesser than 50 KMPL, that way the govt. will address the problem of oil consumption. There are many bikes that give lesser than 35 kms, while they may be addressing some other major points the Most important point  of petrol consumption is to be taken care, and this can be achieved by the ban.
Secondly, making no Vehicle day in cities will be very useful. On such a day people should not use cars or Bikes, or any petrol driven vehicle for that day, morning 6am till evening 8PM. However, public transport buses and Autos, may be run. Cyclable distance will be covered by cycles and also walking will be possible, adding to people’s health.
On the world environment day, our GM proposed this, and many abided and it was nice to see our parking lot as empty in the day time as in a normal C shift day.
City dwellers may be angry upon me, being a rural person, and calling for this change. I am thiking of that day, when coming to city will not mean lots of smoke and harsh horns! I also am thinking that, by doing this once in a week we will push the inevitable atleast by 52 days away per year.

I do not all the policies and works of the department, but i think the policy formulation can be done. Further the Local govt, can gift all people who cycle daily for a distance between 2KM to 6kms to encourage cyclists.
